Christopher Keith “Mooney” Banks
RICHMOND — Christopher K. “Mooney” Banks, 32, of Richmond, formerly of Whitesburg, died Friday, June 3, 2011, in his home.
Mr. Banks was born November 4, 1978, in Whitesburg, Ky., the son of Donald and Brenda Absher Banks. He loved fishing, cookin, and UK Basketball and Football. Chris loved being with his wife Jeanna and children. His family loved him in return, especially his grandmother Henrietta. He loved helping and pleasing people. Chris was never seen without a smile on his face.
In addition to his parents. he is survived by his wife: Jeanna Gray, two children: Cameron and Makenzie Banks, sister: Amy Holbrook (Brad) of Richmond; maternal grandmother: Henrietta Absher of Whitesburg, Ky.; mother-in-law, Donna Gray of Richmond; and two nephews, Benjamin and Conner Holbrook, of Richmond.
Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: James O. and Emma C. Banks, maternal grandfather: Billy Absher, and grandmother-in-law: Roberta Thomas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Whitco Pentecostal Tabernacle in Whitesburg, Ky., with Rev. John Conn and Rev. Billy Conn officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitco Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, and from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday at the Whitco Pentecostal Tabernacle.
Pallbearers will be James Absher, Michael Absher, Jordan Absher, Timothy Absher, Peyton Absher, Thomas Absher, Adam Absher, Curtis Absher, Thomas Strange, Jamie Niece, Travis Slone, and Terry Gibson and B.B. Roark
Winifred Dellaro
Winifred Dellaro age 83, died peacefully Sunday May 29, 2011 at her home in Berea. Winifred was a former resident of Bath New York where she was the former President and member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, member of the St Mary’s Rosary Alter Society, and volunteer at the Ira Davenport Hospital.
While living in St Simons Island Georgia Winifred was active with Newcomers and Pastimers Club, the Georgia Historical Society, and volunteered at the Brunswick Memorial Hospital and St. Simons Island Lighthouse.
Winifred was preceded in death by her husband Carl J. Dellaro and her parents Charles and Kate Cotterill Curtis and a son Lynn I. Dellaro. Winifred is survived by her children: Timothy J. Dellaro and Clara L. Dellaro Vanderoef, and her sister Ruth Davie, as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
