Luke Bryan was having trouble with a new mic stand when he kicked off the Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert series at the Grand Ole Opry House, but the audience didn’t even notice because they were having so much fun dancing and singing along to his songs.

“It was cool to be in there,” Luke tells The Boot. “It’s a dream come true, anytime you can walk into the Grand Ole Opry house and have an audience like the way they were the other night. It was very special.

“The only thing was, I had this new mic stand, and I don’t know know why I decided to try it out that night,” the singer continues. “Plus the stage was slippery and I couldn’t move around like I wanted to, I just couldn’t get my footing.”

One lucky young man named Justin was thrilled that Luke didn’t like the stand, because toward the end of the show, Luke gave it to him. “I’ve never had a guy tell me he loved me more than you during a show,” the singer said as he called Justin forward and handed him the stand. A few minutes later he autographed it for him.

The crowd that gathered for the show screamed, whistled and clapped when Luke sang his hits ‘Do I,’ ‘Country Man,’ ‘Rain Is a Good Thing’ and his latest, ‘Country Girl (Shake It for Me).” Luke’s female fans did their best to adhere to the statement he made, “It’s OK to shake it!” before he sang the tune, some even standing in the aisles to dance throughout the song.
