Companies in the Tyrolean region of Ocoee / Ducktown offer zipline tours and a traditional Tyrolean line thrills. The canopy tour, which is more of an eco-adventure, a sky bridges and viewing platforms that allow visitors to zip through the treetops and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding area. Regardless of the visit, participants will have a bird's eye view Tyrolean forest as they fly from elevated platform with raised platform, with some as high as 65 feet off the ground. The Wildwater Ltd. tour is located three miles outside of Ducktown on 14 wooded acres and includes nine zip line sections and three wooded swinging sky bridges. Certified rangers highlight the vast history of the area’s copper mining industry and how it was brought from barren, red clay to lush, green forest. There are also spectacular views of the Big Frog Wilderness that can be seen from a three-story platform. Another zip line option is the traditional thrill ride made for sheer exhilaration, where speed and adrenaline are the main goal. Travel on these zip lines can reach speeds of 45 miles per hour on as much as 1,000 feet of cable. Ocoee Zipz, in Ocoee, is operated by Ocoee Outdoors. They have seven zip lines and 6,000 feet of fast fun. Each line progressively gets faster and faster climaxing at the last tower which has two parallel zip lines enabling two people to race side by side.

In addition to canopy tours and thrill rides, visitors may also enjoy a trip with a Zip, Rail and Roll package, offered by Raft One in Ducktown and the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum (tvrail.com). Passengers get onboard the train in Etowah and travel to Ducktown where they stop off for a couple of hours to ride the zip line, eat lunch and then catch the train on its return. This canopy zip line tour is located on 10 wooded acres and has over a mile of zip lines.
